Please include journal number in the first line “Journal Report 10”. Each journal covers the time span from the previous journal to the day before the current one.

  • Journal 10: 11/11/2025, including graphs or pictures, and a statement of the “Turkey” (November goal)
  • Journal 11: 11/17/2025
  • Journal 12: 11/25/2025
  • Journal 13: 12/2/2025 (post-holiday, may be short, but should reflect on Turkey goal, and state December “Snow Goal”)
  • Journal 14: 12/8/2025
  • Journal 15: 12/16/2025
  • Journal 16: 1/5/2026 (reflect on “Snow Goal”, state semester goal, due approx 1/22)
  • Journal 17: 1/13/2026
  • Journal 18: 1/20/2026
  • Journal 17: 1/26/2026 (This is Q3, reflect on semester goal)

Note: Going forward, most of your journals can probably include pictures of some kind of results or progress. Please include whenever applicable. For example if you say “my model is 85% correct” you can show me a training curve or a confusion matrix. If you say “I designed a piano,” take a picture of it.

Also note: Journals are due even if you are absent. Please email if at all possible and follow up with a hard copy ASAP. Thanks!

Other dates of interest

  • Week of Nov 12-21, show a quick demo of your program, model, etc, doing something live in class, on the TV. (This is a general expectation, feel free to modify it relative to your specific work but I want to see something doing something! Or the result of something already done.)
  • RSEF: There are some deadlines related to RSEF that will give us all some data-entry tasks over the next week or so (even if you’re not in RSEF, we’ll still fill out the forms)
  • Ordering: order soon!
